However, with the negative news that has been trailing the organisation, it seems they did not get the memo as to what their responsibilities are. A young man identified as Ayotunde Babatunde Nafiu, was hit by a stray bullet fired by a SARS official identified as Gbadamosi Lukman. It was gathered that the student who was going to Iwo from Olupona was shot dead on Thursday night, August 23, and the incident led to a protest by the angry youths. Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, has been honoured with a Doctorate in Humanity by Sun Moon University, Asan, South Korea. She was honoured for her humanitarian activities through her initiative, Future Assured Programme… Professor Hong Young-Shik recently presented at the State House the letter notifying her of the award. “Your humanitarian activities have caught the attention of the world and the Senate of the Sun Moon University, especially your outstanding work with women and children through Future Assured Programme” the letter said. The investiture ceremony took place at the International Conference Hall of the University.   Mrs. Buhari would also be invested with a World Leadership Award by Ajou University in Suwon, South Korea for her humanitarian activities on Tuesday, 14th August, 2018. She will also commission a Seminar Hall named after her at the same University.

VC says OAU may involve Police to investigate sex-for-mark scandal

The VC says OAU will invite the police if the investigation panel is unable to identify Prof Akindele and the female student in the viral audio clip.   The Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof Eyitope Ogunmodede has said the institution may have to involve the Police to verify the sex-for-mark scandal involving a lecturer, who allegedly demanded sex from a female student to increase her grade. The University Vice-Chancellor said this while speaking with a Punch correspondent in Oshogbo on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Since the telephone conversation between a man alleged to be Prof Richard Akindele , who lectures at the Department of Accountancy and the student went viral on Monday, April 9, 2018, the university has not been able to identify the student.
